My Journey is Far From Over

As a Kennesaw State Univeristy Owl, I can say that there have been so many memories collected, skills developed, friendships and professional relationships made, and indivdual development. The purpose of this Best of Show Portfolio is to help myself (and others who need the inspiration) that you can accomplish so much in such a short time.  The purpose is to compile all of the pieces of the puzzle and reveal a complete picture. This owl is defintely ready to soar and explore any and all opportunities to come.

Throughout my journey at Kennesaw State University, I was able to build upon some of the most important disciplines within the public health field.  During my time at Kenensaw State University, I was able to improve my craft at grant writing, epidemiological research, biostatistics, program planning for community health and wellness, and participate in an internship with Cobb and Douglas Public Health as well as win an award for conducting research with Dr. Jasmine Ward, a former Kennesaw State University faculty member.

In addition, I was able to grow as a leader thank to the programs provided by the Center for Student Leadership, my role as president for the Sigma Alpha Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated, and as a lead teacher at Educare Learning Center.

After graduation, I plan continuing my volunteer experience with MedShare - a non-profit organization that takes surplus medical supplies and distributes them across the globe - and further pursue my education by enrolling into a Master's of Public Health graduate program.  I know that the leadership skills and wonderful experiences that I have obtained at Kennesaw State University will help me academically, professionally, and personally.
